Our nation has chosen to bill for the 2020 edition of the MOF International Checkers Tournament.
We want to host this tournament because of the excitement caused by this sport in our federation. Our main asset is that the infrastructures are already built and already used. We are one of the few nations to have so many venues to play checkers and others e-sports, the latter being run by many local authorities. They were not built for the purpose of organizing competitions, but for this sport in become popular in Occitania as well as to energize our Olympic committee and international visibility. Here is a list of our infrastructures where can be organized the 2020 MOF checkers tournament : -Estadi dels Segadors (Tres Flors) -Occitania Hall (Babougrad) -Shalom Arena (Shalom) -New Versailles Arena (Babougrad) For us, being the organizer of this tournament will be more that just hosting, it will be a gift for our citizens. Since our first match in the 2019 tournament, we are more stronger in this e-sport. We are the only nation who has made an internet page where you can reach all the information about our checkers team, players and performances. Our olympic commette where the checkers federation is one of the constituent members, is able to host this kind of competition, as well our broadcaster TV OC (Microvision 2018 broadcaster) is able to register and share matches. We will organize many friendly matches to train our institutions. By voting for Occitania, you vote for a great, modern and a stable 2020 MOF checkers tournament.
